If a stock is issued outside the US but traded on US markets via an ADR (American Depositary Receipt), the bank that issues the ADR will charge ADR fees.
ADR fees are custodian fees, sometimes referred to as Depositary Services Fees, to compensate the depositary banks for inventorying the non-US shares and carrying out registration, regulatory compliance, dividend payments, communication, and record keeping.
ADR fees generally range from USD 0.01 to USD 0.03 per share. However, this amount may vary between available ADRs. Please refer to your ADR's prospectus for specific information.
