How do I place an options order?

Follow these steps to trade an option:

1. Select your product – Choose the stock or product you want to trade options for.
2. Go to the Options section – Navigate to the options trading tab for your selected product.
3. Choose your option type – At the bottom, select the type of option you want to trade: Single option or covered option
4. Decide on your action – Choose whether you want to buy or sell the option. Single option or Covered option
5. Select your order type – For example, a limit order.
6. Enter the number of contracts – Remember, 1 option contract = 100 shares.
7. Place your order.
8. Confirm your order – Double-check all details. If everything is correct, select "Confirm" to finalize your trade.
